Emaciated Great Dane, finds a forever home ... 25 January 2016
Gabbar, the name conjures the image of the devious and hideous villain of yore whom everybody wanted behind bars, but this Gabbar was an antithesis whom everyone wanted out of captivity. Gabbar the handsome hunk, suffered for long owing to the callousness of his owners and found his way to a shelter which of course was not the place for a domesticated and healthy beauty. The inspired group members of Saath Saath took on the challenge of getting him out and nurturing him till he finds a loving home.
Extensive preparations were made to get the emaciated Great Dane, a pale and skinny version of the fabulous breed, and then followed the saga of love, care and indulgence. Gabbar was treated for his wounds and maggots, 4 pairs of hands got together to make sure that he came out shining after a warm bubble bath. After we adopted him, looking at his progress, we are immensely happy and satisfied to see that Gabbar is back to his bouncy and mischievous ways.
After one year with LEO we had our second precious family addition, Gabbar, a gentle Giant!
We started thinking that if dogs are like this, we can have as many as we can, and within no time, we were proved wrong as the storm called Sultan (fully grown St Bernard) hit us and entered our life!
